Today I had some free time and decided to head to a nearby town which has 2 Whole Foods Market's. It had been 4-5 years since I had the joy of shopping in one. I just couldn't pass up the chance to go when my husband encouraged me to take the day off and do whatever I wanted while he watched the kids. It was a warm, sunny day, and traffic was great. It is hard to not be overwhelmed when you step foot inside this store. As a person with celiac disease, this store thrills me. There are gluten free options on every aisle of the store. For me, it is like being a kid in a candy store. I spent three hours perusing all the aisles (except the alcohol ones). I was finding new gluten free products I hadn't seen or tried before. It was an exercise in restraint as there were so many things I wanted to try. Many of our gluten free favorites were on sale and I stocked up on the sale items. I am so pleased with my little adventure today that I cannot wait to go back. This is seriously what I believe grocery stores should be like.
